I gave this place five stars even though it was closed when I visited. Despite that, it sparked my curiosity to look up "colonnade," which turned out to be related to architecture. Any restaurant that offers a buffet and a chance to expand your vocabulary is a win in my book. The breakfast buffet at French Lick is a yummy spot with a wide variety of hot and fresh options, including waffles, French toast, hash brown casseroles, eggs, bacon, and more. The omelette stand was quick and the food was delicious, with plenty of choices. It may not be a spectacular dining experience, but it's worth the money, especially when staying at the resort.
