Having grown up in Hawaii, finding authentic Hawaiian BBQ outside of the islands can be a challenge. Despite my initial reservations about Ono's Hawaiian BBQ being a chain restaurant in California, each visit has pleasantly reminded me of home. The fire chicken and BBQ beef are my top picks, though the prices are a bit steep for a plate. Ordering online for quick pickup has been convenient, and the clean store and friendly staff make each visit enjoyable.
