I wanted to give this restaurant a 4-star rating, but with limited options in Gainesville, it's the best we've got. The portions are generous for the price, and despite the simple surroundings, the food is perfect for a satisfying lunch take-out. My favorite dish is the roast pork with red beans and white rice, along with a beef empanada and sweet plantains - I might even consider taking home a whole tray of their red beans someday.
