Great food, friendly servers and reasonable prices. Do yourself a favor and ignore the bad reviews- some people just cannot be pleased or maybe it's just they refuse to be happy with a great meal & restaurant! Love their pizza and their specialties and will remain a loyal customer!

We just had dinner at the venice restaurant and were appalled at the disregard for the covid-19 recommendations for businesses who have opened. We have been loyal customers of Joey D's restaurants..... Bradenton, Sarasota and now closer to home in Venice. Not one employee wore a mask including the servers. There was no distancing in practice..... our server actually bent over our table and was in our face to take our orders. We won't be going back any time soon if ever. So disappointed that we had such a bad experience because Joey D's was one of our favorites for years

Does anyone know what real pizza tastes like!? I am from Chicago, my husband from New Jersey. I don't consider pre made frozen crust a real pizza. If it's not homemade dough with homemade sauce with fresh grated mozzarella you are being cheated. Frozen pizza from Publix tastes better. Shame on Joey D's For cheating the customers into thinking this is real pizza. The Italian beef was more authentic and came fairly close to Al's on Taylor Street but Portillo is far above this. Growing up in Chicago I never heard of deep dish pizza. It was always thin crust. One thing Joey D's got right...they cut it square!!

We have eaten there and ordered out several times. Joey Ds never disappoints! Best pizza in Venice by far!

WOW Venice's JOEY ;D Pixxa deep dish is almost as good as ONU's infact certain ways it's better ordered it with real Garlic-wow really amazing

Best of the best in Italian food!! The sauce is the key ingredient in Italian food and these guys really nailed it!! The servers were terrific and the atmosphere is very relaxed and fun.......TVs all over the place but not so loud as to be annoying. The food is amazing and the prices were very reasonable!
