Service is awful. We had to ask three times for silverware and twice for our drinks. The waitress would chirp "Oh sure!" then vanish into the kitchen for 10+ minutes at a time. Chips and salsa took 20 minutes to reach our table after we ordered. We were one of two occupied tables in the place, but the rest of our food took 40 minutes. (I was hungry and staring directly at the wall clock the whole time!) The burrito was just a stale tortilla and crusty beans inside. Instead of "queso fresco" as advertised, tostada was covered with pre-shredded, bright orange cheddar cheese. I know your options in Hill City are limited, but do not go here. If you're going to spend the day hiking or playing in Custer State Park, pack a lunch!

I had the enchiladas, our kids had the burritos. So yummy. A nice surprise traveling through South Dakota to find this place. Fresh ingredients, cilantro... tortillas... salsa..., would go back here again in a heartbeat.

We had two meals at Rico's while passing through on the Mickelson Trail, and were impressed! The service was fine (although we did have to request glasses for our beers), the food original and fresh. We're glad we did not read the reviews online before going on our trip, since we had such a positive experience. And Rico's backs up to Rabbit Bike,a super little bike shop, essential for those who need a little TLC while cycling the Mickelson Trail. Give both these little local businesses a try!

Horrible customer service. We never received our drinks until we were started on our meal, and even then had to request them. Then had the cans promptly placed on the table, no offer of glasses and no apologies. Avoid this restaurant. Food not worth the price.

Food was really good, authentic Mexican in a small South Dakota town was not what I was expecting.
Thou the menu was limited, and I left hungry even thou my lunch price for a combo plate and a diet coke was around $13.
Would be excellent if they either offered more food (like most Mexican restaurants I have ever been to) or lowered their prices so I could afford to order some à la carte items.

This place was extremely over priced, for what you get. Very limited menu, had to request silverware. No hot sauce in a Mexican establishment!!! Not all that great of food. Don't waste the money on this high priced very small 'restaurant'. Pass this one up.
