If you're looking for a convenient spot near UCB with a relaxed atmosphere, Hudson's is a great choice. The baristas during the day are friendly, and the space is never too crowded. I enjoyed the Stumptown coffee and the comfort of being able to relax while waiting for my motorcycle to be repaired nearby.
