The service at the restaurant was warm and accommodating, making me feel welcomed. The meal I ordered was served hot and bursting with flavor, especially the fresh and mildly spicy salsa. Despite the simple interior, the delicious food and friendly staff make it a worthwhile dining experience.

Staying in Little River and on a low/no carb diet. Hard to find things to eat on the road! La Playa was a nice surprise. Usually I go for taco salad, hold the beans and don't eat the shell but they have a fantastic chicken/vegetable soup, sort of like tortilla soup. It was delicious, very flavorful and seasoned just right! It had fresh avocado chunks and lots of veggies along with a tomato-y broth, and chicken of course. I ordered it to take back to my comfy hotel room and waited not very long. The servers were so friendly and helpful. I will return again for another meal before I leave the area.
