I recently visited the Brentwood TN Backyard Burger location and was very disappointed with a bad experience with 'John' who doesn't like receiving the $2 coupons from the survey at the bottom of the receipt. I always ordered a hotdog with fries and a drink. Not the childs meal, but the 'adult' meal that they always offer at the counter. John saw the coupon and immediately said, I cant accept these coupons on the childs meal adding that he's basically paying me to eat the hot dog. The man behind me in line was appalled at his behavior. John then said he would take it this time, but wouldn't in the future. He handed my Backyard punch card back, refusing to punch it (4 punches and get a free meal). As I was eating outside, the man who was behind me in line came up to me and said that 'that man' shouldn't be allowed to work at the front counter. I contacted the corporate Backyard Burger location in Nashville and spoke to Robert Fuller who told me that John was incorrect for his behavior and what he told me. Mr. Fuller asked me to send him my mailing address saying that he was going to send me correspondence and coupons. That was 9/15/15. I never received the correspondence. I have decided to use the 20% off coupons for Ocharleys who has great freshly prepared food with outstanding customer service .. . and guess what? With my 20% coupons, I not only receive more food, but cheaper than BackYard Burgers! Chilies restaurant in Brentwood also has HUGE delicious freshly cooked burgers made to order with a large portion of steak fries for less than backyard! Thank you BackYard for making me realize that there are much better options for my lunch and dinner with great customer service!!
