I have been going to Carl's for decades. I drive about 40 miles one way just to eat there. Carl's is an iconic Jewel in Loudon, where one will get Hot & Freshly made food cooked to order. Their Chuckwagon sandwich is the best I've ever had. Their Pulled Pork Barbecue Platter is second to none. The Banana Split Sundae & Cones taste like Homemade Churned Ice Cream, the best I've been able to find. On top of all this, their prices are very very reasonable, hence the cash only as price would have to go up some if they had to pay the credit card company fees, they strive to keep the prices low and they do. The staff is very friendly too. A Great Experience every time!!

Really nasty and extremely low quality. Unfortunately there aren't many options in loudon so they get to stay open. Put them beside any other restaurant they'd be out of business in a week. Just insulting to serve food that is even below jail quality

People like Jennifer ^^ who claim they live in an area that they can't spell, are the only ones that can stomach and enjoy this garbage. The only reason they have stayed in business is because they commit tax fraud, hence the reason they will not accept credit cards.

I have been eating at Carl's for 28 years and travel 20 miles to just get my Carl's fix. The food is awesome and they have to be doing something right to have stayed in business for 30 + years. Us Lenoir Citizens and Louden Residents know what we like..and Carl's is it.

This has to be Ranked No. 6 worst Drive-In's I have been to. (been to 108, so far) No taste in the Burgers and Fries were greasy, flat Coke. Took forever to get waited on and then acted like was doing us a favor. Big choice though - either Sonic or Carls, better yet go to Maryville Sonic. what a difference in service and hot food. Will never go to Carls again if I live to be 100 years old.
