We live in Mississippi but often drive to Savannah, Tennessee for various reasons. During a recent visit, we decided to have a late lunch while running errands. After reading positive reviews, we tried out the Fish Hut and were impressed with the generous portions and friendly service. It has become our new favorite spot for delicious catfish in the area.

Today was my first visit. They had a daily special of a choice of two meats (you choose one of them) and 3 vegetables (choose from many different ones), includes roll, drink, tax for $8 total. Menu items are also available. Everything was mostly great. My white beans were a little cold but everything else warm or hot. My chicken was a little dry but wonderful flavor. I will definitely be back. They only take cash and checks though - no debit cards - glad my co-worker had extra cash on her. I believe they are only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The parking lot and restaurant were packed - always a good sign when trying a new restaurant you haven't been to before.

The fish Hut was a good value when it opened at its new location about two years ago. But I must say that all good things come to an end. I have been there two times in the last month. Each time the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Why mess with something when it works??? Also if you are going to raise your prices, DON,T scratch out the price on the old menu and then wright the new ones next to it. How hard is it to just go on the computer and make a new menu and make copies. Maybe if you do that people my not notice that you have raised the prices. I thought it showed laziness and bad business practices. By the way I noticed that you have a new parking lot. Now I understand why the prices went up.
