I discovered this place about 6 weeks. Chef salad is best i have ever had and lunch specials are great as well. They have something for everyone from $9 lunch special to $48 fine dining meals. Sodas to beer and wine. I have eaten there many times and i dont like to eat alone so i do take out sometimes. I havent tried the cobbler yet but looking forward to it.

Friendly service, delicious food and reasonably priced. I had "The Chix" plate and hubs had the smoked half chicken. We're both full and agree that we'll be back!!

My experience, yep at one time they did have decent food, the service is lousy, this is a meet and greet place..Butch would never allow anyone to be ignored, he always came around checked on you made sure you were waited on taken care.. this place is a zoo, big mouth women, slow and rude to people they don't know.. but oh cozy up to the ones they know.. After sitting at a table in back on the left side of the resturant for 20 minutes.. I caught the attention of waitress.. and move my hand to come please.. she did boy begrudgingly, she said what do you want I said Were ready to order.. she said, this is not my section, and I will get your waitess.. Im like ok fine.. so finally after 10 minutes this woman comes over ask what we want never offered coffee or water, anything.. we gave our order to her.. and she left, after 15 minutes she was serving food to a table near us I asked how much longer.. she said, what did you order I told her.. she said oh that order um its cooking, she walked away.... so My wife and I got up and we walked away... never again will ever come to this messed up place... terrible...place....

We left without being served. We were ready to order when our waitress dropped off our drinks. Instead, she left to talk to people at another table. The people at this other table were obviously friends with several of the workers there, because the hostess/manager also came around to talk to them.

After about five or ten minutes of chatting with them, our waitress took their order and left without taking ours. This was in spite of us having been seated before they were. After sitting around for another ten minutes, hearing their loud, profanity-laced conversation from across the room, we decided to leave.

On the upside, after I explained our rationale for leaving, the manager/hostess comped our drinks.

All of this happened on an evening when we'd travelled over an hour from Huntsville, AL. We'd done so because of the COVID-19 restrictions in Alabama, and we knew that TN had loosened their restrictions earlier. This was to be an early Mother's Day dinner for my wife.

I,m a Brit that has been to Hickory House a number of times and would like to add what wonderful place to eat it is.
I found not only doe's it serve great food but has great service too.
I would recommend this to anyone who comes to Pulaski, its also a great place to meet good honest locals that are always pleased to help.
I hope to revisit soon and enjoy more of the southern food, a happy customer.
