review_stars 01/25/2010 - Very Disappointed
I had one of the worst experiences at this restaurant this past Sunday. My husband and I are frequent customers at Little Italy. As a matter of fact, we have recommended it to many of our friends in the past. We will, however, not be returning there again, nor recommending it to anyone. Here is what happened:
First, my friend tried to order chicken Parmesan with a different type of pasta. When she asked the server if that would be possible, she said, "Well, you'll have to pay extra." My friend said that was fine, and the waitress replied, "Well, as long as you know that." I thought at that moment that our waitress was being rude for no reason and so did my friend. I then ordered a chicken salad sandwich, and my waitress said she'd have it right out. About 20 mins or so later, she brought me a buffalo chicken sandwich. She asked if that would be okay, and I said no. I told her I ordered a chicken salad sandwich. She told me that they didn't have chicken salad, so I asked to see a menu. When I pointed to the item on the menu, she said, "Oh, I'll change that and get it to you." About 15mins or so later, she laid down a grilled chicken sandwich in front of me. I told her that wasn't what I ordered and she told me they didn't have chicken salad. I pointed it out on the menu a second time and she then told me that it needs to be taken off the menu because they don't serve that dish anymore. She made me pay for a buffalo chicken sandwich...even though I ended up eating nothing but a few bread sticks for lunch!

I was upset at the way we were treated with such rudeness. I was also upset at the waitress for not being clear on the item I ordered. She allowed me to order it twice before telling me that it shouldn't be on the menu because they don't serve it anymore. When my husband called to inform the manager of this situation, they simply didn't care. They didn't apologize to him or anything. It is very upsetting to have to pay for such awful treatment, especially when you didn't eat what they gave you. Based on this experience, I wouldn't go back there.
