This is the best restaurant in the tri-cities. My husband and I, along with my friends all love this place. We all have had a wonderful experience each time we have eaten at the Olde Farmhouse. My husband even said the steaks are better than the steaks in TEXAS, and he has traveled there on many occasions. I would recommend the steak to anyone. It's wonderful!!!!!!

Could not believe the QUALITY and quantity of the food. Everything was too wonderful, so I came home miserably full. I ordered the chicken breast, which came with 2, and my husband got the meatloaf. There was 6 at our table and we were brought 13 bowls of side dishes. The only negative thing about it is that it is about 50 miles away from my house. That might also be a plus, because I would try to be there every time the doors open. The price was very reasonable and the staff was super nice. Trust me, it is truly worth the drive from wherever you live.

This is one of the finest restaurants around. I live in TX. & visit every time I visit my parents..We are trying to get by every Mothers Day now. The people and staff at Olde Farmhouse are exceptional and should be commended on their great service and care and the food is outstanding.
Look forward to our next visit. THANKS to all!

I love this place. I have been going to the Olde Farmhouse since they opened. I have never had a bad meal. Their steaks are exceptional and hand cut. Everyone who has worked there over the years has been very professional and service is always great. Don't miss this gem for a dinner that will be sure to please.

Sunday "family meal" was more than expected for our family...giving choice of fried chicken, roast beef, turkey and dressing, country ham or chicken salad as a main course. I have to say the 'fried chicken' was outstanding as my husband, son-in-law and I chose this entry and it was very juicy on the inside, cripsy outside and plenty. The sides were very good and plenty to go around with a great variety for a varied group of people. Wait person was excellent and we will return to try out their other meals as well.

As my family and I have patronized this restaurant frequently over the years, our last two experiences have left such a bad taste in our mouth, we vow NEVER to return. We ordered 3-10 oz ribeye steak dinners. I realize that ribeyes are a bit fattier than other cuts, but, that's the only steak they offer. Our daughter's steak, had 3 bites of meat, all the rest was fat. (They told us when we ordered that there were only 5 steaks left.) Apparently, they assumed we'd be too stupid to realize she had been served a 9 oz. slab of fat! When we told our waiter about it, she walked back to the kitchen. We sat there for ten minutes, still nothing. Another waiter walked by and I asked him if he'd get the manager for me. Keep in mind, our table is closest to the kitchen. The very nice young man, walked into the kitchen and said, "they want to talk to a manager". The next thing we heard was some woman who was part of the kitchen staff (apparently, the manager) screaming, "I'm not going out there! That's what they ordered!". I politely, walked to the kitchen doorway to accomodate her since she refused to speak to me. All she and her "sidekick" wanted to do was to yell at me and my husband. We were so embarassed. We tried to explain to her that we were not trying to get a free meal, only to get something else for our daughter to eat because she could not eat 9 oz. of fat. We gave up, gathered our children and our belongings, left our meals sitting. I have tried calling to speak with the owner who is always there on Sundays to seat patrons, however, the same lady keeps answering the phone and screening her calls. She refuses to let me speak with her so, I hope she is able to read this review and see what kind of people she has working for her and running off her loyal customers. I hope YOU choose not to patron this establishment. The food is good but, the service is lacking and the kitchen help needs a course on customer service and manners.

The previous reviewer received a free $62+ tab after cleaning their plates and then complaining. As an unbiased observer, I was embarrassed by the actions and language of this "customer". It left me with a bad dining experience through no fault of the restaurant.
My advice is to ignore the previous deadbeat free-loader.

Try this on for size. The lady that posted the nasty comment about the Olde Farmhouse has been a constant complainer that has been to the establishment a few times but obviously thinks she knows more than she does about the people that run the place because the apparent manger and her "sidekick" as the woman used are the owner and her mother, and the blonde lady who she thinks owns the place never has ran anything in the restaurant other than the cash register. The owners where never aware of the lady wanting something else for her daughter because their sever never said that they did. She only bluntly came to the entrance of the kitchen and began complaining. It is the owners proaggative whether or not to comfront the complaining person. The reason they didn"t is because they had already told the server to give them their meal for free , but the lady was still not satisfied with that. As for the five steaks left in the house, the restaurant always sells out of their steaks for this one of the restaurants best sellers. Please do not let the womans negative comments deter you from frequenting this establishment as she has made a point of complaining a few times before yet kept returning. The food is geat as every thing is home made and the house is among he oldest and most historical in east Tennessee. Known as the Daniel Kennedy house.
