The BBQ here blows most big chains out of the water, with perfectly cooked brisket, amazing ribs, and sides that hit the spot-plus their sweet potato casserole is seriously delicious. The staff is super friendly, the owner even brought our dog a treat, and every visit feels welcoming and laid-back, making it one of my favorite places to grab a meal.

OMG, that BBQ joint in Anderson, SC is legit! The brisket there is cooked just right, and the ribs are so dang good. Plus, the sides are on point - especially the sweet potato casserole. The owners are super friendly too - always a good vibe when we go.

I moved to Anderson SC 4 years ago. Barbeque is one of my favorite. There is no other restaurant around that serves barbeque that can compete with Pompous Pig. The portions are huge and the pulled pork has NO fat content in it. The meals are always fresh. The workers are always on the ball and cleaning tables after a customer leaves. They are friendly and ask if there is anything we need.

The brisket is fabulous. Staff were all very friendly. We were so impressed that we returned the next evening. Definitely a thumbs up.
