Does not follow authentic recipes. Told me he catered to the tastes of the locals and did not include ingredients that the locals would not like. My dish had no meat even though that is part of the recipe. I tried speaking respectfully to the man and I had to ask him 3 times to stop yelling at me as he actually admitted he didn't care about professionalism or the fact he didn't make it properly. All he said he cared about is "I make it how they eat it"

I called the restaurant and the guy text me menu! I ordered my food and it was amazing! I have eating at a lot of Chinese restaurants, and this one by far smokes every one of them in the Knoxville area! You will not be disappointed! As far as the buffet goes, I haven't had that!!

This is a great restaurant. Sure it looks crumbly on the outside, and it doesn't have the greatest overall aesthetics. However, it redeeming qualities include great food and great service. The people who own and run Happy Garden are always very nice, and they do everything they can to make their customers happy. I have eaten at almost every Chinese restaurant/buffet in Knoxville, this by far beats our all other places, especially the Mandarin House. Fresh, decent priced food, and great people. I'm surprised this restaurant hasn't been feature in the Metro Pulse or other places. It's really that good.

this is one of the best chinese places in knoxville buffet is okay but takeout menu and food are top notch always hot,made to order and fresh its family owned and operated they will remember you as a return customer and chanses are youll get more than what you pay for (free egg rolls,crab raggoons ect)my family orders from here at least 3 time a month great food and resonable rates if your looking for chinese fast look no further

The buffet here is passable, but it's ALWAYS better to order off the menu. For take-out chinese food, this is really very fresh and always hot and delicious. The employees will remember you, and they always give lots of free egg rolls. We love them!
