I WAS A TRUCK DRIVER FROM INDIANA THAT HAD A DELIVERY ROUTE IN MEMPHIS BACK IN 2003 - 2005.
WHEN IN MEMPHIS I ALWAYS ATE AT THE LAMAR STORE.
BOTH LADIES BEHIND THE COUNTER ARE 2 OF THE BEST
LADIES EVER. I ALWAYS GOT THE TURKEY LEG PLATE DINNER, IT IS JUST AWSOME. WHY THIS REVIEW SO LATE IN TIME ? WELL, I WAS SO PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE GREAT TASTIN FOOD, THAT I'M STILL TALKIN BOUT IT TODAY!!!

I get the JUMBO bar-b-q with half beef and half pork and it is one of the best I ever tasted.

Went to Showboats for lunch today. I ordered the Jumbo Cheeseburger. What I received was a jumbo bun with a patty that was the size of a Mcdonald's hamburger patty. I asked if it was a jumbo size and the lady that cooked it said yes with a smirk on her face. I was dissatisfied and nothing was done. I went as far as saying that you ripped me off. Nothing was said. Just another smirk. Don't eat here !!!! I've been in the restaurant bizz for 17 years and never treated a guest in this manner. Don't eat here!!!! This was at the Hickory Hill location.

This is the best bbq in Memphis. Lived there 15 years and Interstate, Neely, Corkys, Gridleys, can't touch them! I moved away but everytime I go back to Memphis I drive all the way to Showboat. Their sandwiches are unmatched!!! I would pay double it they shipped!
