A coworker introduced me to La Rancherita, and their salteñas instantly took me back to Bolivia with their perfectly sweet dough and savory, soupy beef filling-nothing like the others I've tried around here. The bakery keeps it simple and authentic, offering fresh Bolivian pastries and Inca Kola, with quick service and plenty of parking, though it can get pretty hot inside, so it's best to grab your treats and head out.

La Rancherita in Santa Ana is a Bolivian bakery known for its authentic salteñas, reminiscent of those found in Bolivia. The bakery also offers a variety of Bolivian pastries, including cheese empanadas that are different from Argentine empanadas. In addition to their delicious treats, La Rancherita provides the convenience of ordering frozen salteñas to bake at home and ample parking for visitors.
