I showed up during the busy brunch rush and was greeted warmly by both the barista and the waitress, who was super patient while my friend and I took our time deciding on drinks. My Bloody Mary came with a huge pickle and chaser, and the spicy chorizo hash was massive, though I wished the potatoes were a bit crispier. Everything I tried was delicious, from the perfect sourdough toast to the flavorful dishes around me, so I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

I had a great brunch experience at Highlands Cafe. The service was friendly and not rushed, allowing my friend and I to enjoy our time chatting. The Bloody Mary was tasty, and while the spicy chorizo hash was good, I wished the potatoes were crispier. I would definitely return for the inviting atmosphere and delicious menu options!

Great atmosphere! Food as delicious as I remembered. Had not been there in a while, but as I said food still wonderful. Hostess was very welcoming and helpful. For a neighborhood place to eat, I recommend highly!

Had goatcheese sand--tastiest thing on the plate was the pickle riding on top; homemade chips looked good, most had crunch, no seasoning;
garnish salad, no dressing, herb, or spice

Root hash nicely roasted--again, no seasoning

Cherry glazed ribs, blah, blah, bland

Coffee smelled good, $3, small cup

Though the food sounds fancy on the menu, should be more flavorful. Hope they read this, because there is potential, and would like to try again if they manage to bring the flavor up a few notches--do they taste their food? $8-10/plate could also be more palatable then
