The service at this establishment is exceptional, with friendly staff who go above and beyond even during busy periods. The food is fresh and delicious, with great options for both myself and my son. Despite the initial hesitation due to mixed reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals we received.

I was very impressed with the food and the service. Was in there yesterday 06/29/2022. I was recommended by the mini mart attendant at the gas station across the street when asked if there were any places in town for a steak, as I was passing through and was quite hungry. One attendant laughed and said, "not in this town", the other said " no, the Alpine lodge Restaurant has great food and may have steak". So I went to the Alpine Lodge and was greeted very nicely, sat down and the waitress asked what I would like to drink. After ordering a drink she came back to the table and asked if I knew what I wanted for supper while my drink was coming. At the top of the menu was a chicken fried steak which caught my eye as I have not had one of these in a while, I asked her "is the chicken fried steak a good one? She replied, "Oh my, it is very good!" I said great I'll test your judgement. Folks this is a fantastic meal, I ordered the mashed potato, and fried okra as sides, I was very impressed at the meal. Will definitely go back again when passing through Pecos, Tx.
