The restaurant offers good food in a historic retro atmosphere. Despite slightly slow service, the overall quality is commendable. I enjoyed the classic American comfort food and homely atmosphere, reminiscent of my childhood dining experiences.

Doesn't show regular menu just breakfast

We are new to the Coastal Bend having relocated from a big Texas city. We were pleasantly surprised to discover such a wonderful, clean, down home, excellent restaurant as Bakery Cafe. As a plus, (and we know Mexican food), their enchiladas are to die for. Their liver and onions is outstanding, hands down. We eat at Bakery Cafe at least once a week and recommend them highly.
