The chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken were both served hot and flavorful, with the sides complementing the meal perfectly; while my steak needed a bit of extra seasoning, it turned out great with some pepper and Tabasco. Benjamin, the friendly and personable server who has been part of the restaurant for decades, made the experience even more enjoyable by sharing stories and making me feel right at home. The cozy, small-town atmosphere combined with quick, attentive service and comforting homemade dishes made this lunch a memorable and satisfying experience.

We had chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken for dinner with 2 sides. The wife really enjoyed her CFC, while I found my CFS needed a bit more flavor, but it was easily fixed with some pepper and Tabasco. The cozy, small-town cafe atmosphere was just right for us, and the friendly cashier/waiter/owner added to the pleasant experience.

We have been going there for years. Their Sunday specials are very good. Great portions, great prices. The desserts are outstanding and the carrot cake is a must when they have it. Know the owner and the staff very well. Good hardworking people. What a small Texas cafe should be.
