We had a great time celebrating a few birthdays at a Mexican restaurant. The desebrada tacos were a hit - they gave us four instead of the usual three, and they were packed with delicious meat. My friend ordered the Mexican plate with red enchiladas, Chile relleno, a taco, rice, and beans. The lively music and spacious layout made for a fun night out.

Off the beaten path, but worth the find. Friendly service, good size portions, and food is good. Have a slice of their delicious flan for dessert.

This is where folks from back east (East of I-35 -- Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin) go to imagine they are eating Mexican food. This is FAR fancier a layout than where good Mexican food is served.

I travel to El Paso regularly for business and always have at least one meal at Forti's every time. Food is very, very good. I love the Mexican shrimp cocktail, green Chile chicken enchiladas and chicken tacos. The chips and salsa are magnificent!

I ate there with family last weekend and thought the food (Steak Tampiquena) was good and the margarita was great. So good in fact that I went back that night for dinner. I had the mexican shrimp cocktail and found it a bit catsup-y and a little lite on the shrimp but we did get there 10 minutes before they closed. Luckily the margarita was still great so I had no desire to complain.
