I stepped inside a modest downtown Killeen eatery, greeted warmly by the owner who's been serving up authentic Mediterranean flavors for nearly three decades. The chicken gyro was a revelation-the tender meat perfectly complemented by tangy tzatziki and pillowy soft pita, while the crispy, seasoned fries added just the right crunch. Despite the humble surroundings, every bite was fresh, vibrant, and cooked to order, making it clear that passion and tradition are at the heart of this culinary experience.

A friend told me about this little spot for lunch and I'm so happy he did! I had never tried the Gyro Stop before, even though I've been here for years. Turns out, the owner has been here for 28 years - talk about experience! The exterior might throw you off a bit, but once you step inside, you're greeted warmly and the food is absolutely delicious.
