Driving through the quiet expanse of West Texas, the rustic charm of Lowake draws you in with its warm, wooden interiors and the irresistible aroma of sizzling steaks. Sitting down with friends, the generous portions of tender, flavorful meat and that unforgettable jalapeño ranch dressing create a comforting, hearty feast beneath the soft hum of friendly chatter and attentive service. Despite the rise in prices, the genuine Texas hospitality and satisfying flavors make every bite worth savoring, leaving a promise to return for the next meal.

Glenda, Susan, and I went shopping in Ballinger and ended up at Lowake for dinner. We ordered the KC for three and were impressed by the generous portions of meat. The salad bar was fresh, and the jalapeño ranch dressing was a favorite. The service was attentive, and the overall experience at Lowake was great.

We have been eat and loving Lowake for years, but today ordered BLT, blah! Barely any bacon, no lettuce. And toast was so dry, no buttered toast. Was a failure on BLT..

To go order cat fish. Got home salad was full of slimy lettuce and slimy tomato. Went back up there for money back for salad since we finished the meal without it. Can't refund - salad is free with meal 😳Fried potatoes soaked with grease. Baked potatoes taste like 3 day old boiled potatoes. How do they stay in business. Very sad. It used to be quality everything. catfish was good. No slaw 😔
