During a recent visit with friends, we dined at Montana's, where I was pleased to enjoy a military discount. The atmosphere was cozy, the service attentive, and the food was generally good, with standout items like the chicken fried steak and trash can nachos, though some aspects like the restroom and drinkware could use improvement.

While catching up with friends in Stephenville, we decided to grab dinner at Montana Restaurant. The welcoming service and delicious blue plate Ribeye made for a satisfying meal, although the onion rings were lacking in flavor. The ambiance was fitting for the area, and the ample parking made it convenient for those with larger vehicles.

I have been here the past two years several times while on FFA judging trips. The service is phenominal. Food comes out quickly and at the right temperature, the wait staff is very friendly. The food is also excellent. Sometimes its even more than our Ag teachers can eat!!!

Terrible! I ate there about an hour ago and my stomach already hurts and I didn't even eat anything greasy! I had a baked potato ($3.99 - I could buy a whole bag of potatoes for that), chives (free), jalapenos ($.35), hot sauce ($.50) and grilled chicken ($1.69 - chicken was full of gristle and nasty), for a total of $6.53 for a baked potato.

We found some black plastic thread type things on top of my daughter's chicken fingers. My son ordered a kid's meal and a kid's tea for a total of $6.97...for a kid's meal. We had to pay $1.99 extra for the cheese on his french fries. For 2 kids meals, 2 kids teas, a water and a baked potato our total was $19.61. That's not outrageous but it isn't very good either.

And our waitress wasn't too bright! For our $19.61 ticket, I gave her a $10 and a $20. The second time that she came to bring me change she brought back my $10 bill! And when I asked her if she had change, she thought that I was referring to the $.39 that she owed me. I had to spell it out for her that I needed change for the $10 to leave her a tip!

It was not a good experience and I don't think that I will be going back for a very long time! The last time that we ordered take out salads from there the fried chicken on the salad was nasty tasting. It was like the grease they used was really old or something.
