The food at Old Hickory Inn in Missouri City is consistently good, with delicious barbecue, tasty sides, and friendly service from a hardworking staff. While the atmosphere has improved with more windows, the redhead employee at the counter seemed uninterested, which was a noticeable downside during our visit.

The food at this restaurant is satisfactory, but it may be better without the redhead guy at the counter who seems disinterested. Following Mass on Sunday, February 12, 2023, my group of four decided to have lunch here and noticed the newly improved atmosphere with an abundance of windows. The owner or possibly the owner's son was diligently maintaining the restaurant, and we appreciated his hard work.
