I've been going to Pop's for at least 30 years ...it's changed over the years,when I started going to Pop's, I'd sit with the afternoon coffee drinkers , they also had gas pumps and a little mini convenient store behind the side counter, inside. That was convenient for the people living around Pop's in the area of Lindale. I'll always remember this place

First and second visit: white fish batter was great but center was too soft, chicken fried steak was good, gravy was good, chicken spaghetti was good, meat loaf was too salty and had no flavor. Vegetables were good. There catfish looked nice and thin with great looking batter so will try that next time. Very clean, staff was pleasant, price was great.

We drive from Tyler occasionally to have their chicken and dressing -- so good! And lots of chicken in it. We usually get a quart of the dressing to take home, and enjoy the next day. We love their catfish, too. Very crisp on the outside, and juicy inside, just the way I like it. They have lots of veggies, and their peach cobbler and apple cobbler are really delicious, lots of fruit and a little crust. Pops has a special price for seniors, and the senior plate is so generous, there's usually some to take home. Their menu is varied, so something for everyone!
