Upon the suggestion of some Laredo friends, I decided to try Raul's for some authentic barbacoa. My friends and I ordered the regular barbacoa and the cachete, opting for warm flour tortillas to accompany our meal. The flavors were rich and satisfying, with the cachete offering a leaner alternative to the greasier regular barbacoa. The prices were reasonable, and the addition of salsa and pico de gallo helped balance out the richness of the meat. If you find yourself in south Laredo and craving delicious barbacoa, Raul's is definitely a spot worth visiting.
