Based on a friend's suggestion, I decided to give this place a try for some Mexican cuisine. With so many options around, I tend to stick to just the tacos here, particularly the grilled chicken and fish tacos which were both delicious. The location may be a bit tricky to find due to ongoing road construction, but it's definitely worth adding to your list of go-to Mexican restaurants.

Until tonight we would drive out of our way to dine at Riviera's. The food was always tasty & fresh but the service was outstanding. Every server we have encountered has been friendly and on par with the service. The reason I say until tonight is because not only was out waitress acting strange (to say the least) brought our app. with the meal, forget half my order, never apologized, and to top it off.....over charged us for our food. Once we brought this to her attention, she blamed it on the cash register, said she would correct it, and after several minutes came back to blame the error on us. To put it mildly...the experience was highly uncomfortable. Once the mgr. came over I was sure he'd rectify the situation and make us want to return in the future. He did say " I hope you give us one more chance". But gave us no reason to want to do that. All I can say is my 1 night a week with my husband (whose in the Army)was very disappointing. I've exchanged pleasantries with the owner on several occasions and have a feeling things would have been handled differently if he had been on the premises. Unfortunately, he will probably never know that he lost his (at least once a wk) customers tonight due to the lack of professionalism of his staff. I must admit Riviera's always had a homey/comfortable feeling which is the main reason we kept going back. It lost that tonight. I don't think we will ever be willing to make the drive to take the chance on being disappointed.
