We have gone to this restaurant since it opened. We went there right after COVID and we try to support local businesses. Tonight we arrived at 8:22pm. We were "greeted" by the routine server who knows us. We were told that they were down a sushi chef, they had no tables ( they had a table for two attached to a table for four, which in the past they have separated) and they could not serve us and the chef told her to close. We said nothing and we left. We were not happy. No real Im So Sorry. No Nothing. We went to eat and then returned to see if we could talk to the owner. We knocked and went in. In a calm manner, we expressed how we felt as long standing customers. The owner said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The waitress however, told us that she couldn't believe we were disrespecting them. I told her we understood it wasn't her decision she was doing what she was told and this is why i wanted to speak to the owner. Her response was "Well, he obviously isn't saying anything to you!" The fact that we expressed our displeasure seemed to irritate the server and the owner never said anything. No apologies, no nothing. So loyalty to this small business doesn't matter and neither does he care if a server yells at his customer. There are other restaurants and other places we can spend our money. We don't need to be treated as if our past patronage is not appreciated. We will never be back and when the snow bird leave and the summer is lean, I hope they survive. But our money will be spent else where.

Sushi is excellent as you would expect. My wife really enjoys it to but for different reasons. She doesn't like raw fish but their selection of cooked Japanese food is large too.

The food may be ok but the service and management are poor. When I finally received my first course that was drop on my table it was barely warm. My waitress was nowhere to be found and our water glasses remained empty. The Sushi chefs were occupied reading and unengaged since the restaurant was less than half filled.
When my main course was finally delivered it was warm and had obviously sitting in the kitchen under a heat lamp. When I remarked to the waitress that I was not happy she asked me if I wanted her to take it back and reheated. There was NO OPOLOGY at all. No a simple "I am sorry".
The water glasses remained empty til I got up and asked one of the chefs if it would be possible to have some water. Again, no apology to me as he merely instructed another waitress to attend to our water glasses.
After my fellow diners finished their meals I asked for the check. No mention that she was sorry for the terrible service and lukewarm food that was presented. No one from management made any effort to offer a simple apology. No attempt to offset my poor service with any gesture of good faith on their part.
When I was leaving I mentioned to the chef that my experience at his restaurant was terrible and he lowered his head and offered a half hearted "I am sorry." I guess he lost face.
There are too many excellent Sushi restaurants in Stuart and I will be spending my money elsewhere where they value the customer.
