I decided to take my married children and their families out to dinner one Monday. We arranged to meet at 6pm at Union Grill. I arrived at 5:30pm (because this restaurant supposedly doesn't take reservations) and put in our party of 8. I was told there would be a 40 minute wait. After 1 hr 15 minutes, I approached the desk to ask about being seated. While standing there, a couple came in stating they were here for their reservation. When asked why I was told they didn't take reservations, the response was they did for larger groups (2 vs 8, hmmm). Then they seated a party of 6 that came in 20 minutes after me. Again, when asked the response was because 'We know them'. By now I was very irritated and asked for the manager but 'just then' our table was ready. We placed our orders but when they came 2 of the 8 were wrong. When the waitress was told, she took the dishes back and corrected the error but didn't make any extra effort for compensation. The food was okay but based on the service, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
