Dear Sneering, impatient, scowling folks at Acapulco Mexican Restaurant tonight, 2/14/14 in Utah.

I am one of the most IMPATIENT, easily annoyable people on the planet. I have no tolerance for sh***y customer service or horrid customers.

Tonight we did something we never do. We decided to eat out. On VALENTINES DAY. S T U P I D - HOWEVER - I was fully prepared for what was about to happen as I had only myself to blame for eating out on a holiday. A stupid holiday, but a holiday nonetheless.

We pulled into the VERY full parking lot of this normally quiet hole in the wall restaurant. Decided to chance it and went in. Whoo boy. BIG crowd. You were in the corner by the wall, drinking a few and conversing with an equally irritated couple behind you. We were there nearly 20 minutes before chips and salsa were tossed on our table before she scurried off. We know her. We like her. SHE IS AWESOME and she was VERY busy. 10 minutes later our order was taken. Our food arrived 20 minutes after that. I sought out ketchup for my grandsons fries as scowling at my table about the lack of ketchup hardly seemed worth the burst vessels in my head. Your table did not receive your food. Your neighbors received theirs 15 minutes after us and the order was returned as it was wrong. I felt bad for you as I have been there. My "there" was at a higher end restaurant with an abundance of staff that couldn't pick their nose with a shovel. TERRIBLE and inexcusable. This place? They had reason and I applaud their efforts

This hole in the wall employs three servers. They probably weren't expecting a crowd and I have to say that they did an AMAZING job with the traffic. A little more organization next year ought to help. You were rude and belligerent to folks SERVING YOU. I sincerely HOPE and PRAY that your food came with a side of phlegm. They were trying and there were SO MANY people waiting on checks, containers, drinks and checkout and out of maybe 100 people in that place there were maybe 10 that treated the help like waste. Shame on you. Frustration understandable but their inability to provide you with the service I KNOW I can expect when dining there was understandable and forgivable. We tipped well just in case you decided to be an -ss and not tip.

Oh ya, our take out order for our kids was wrong. Discovered when we got home. I didn't bother with a call - I will talk to them later, With respect and kindness because they deserve it after dealing with a might like they suffered through.

Recommendations? Install baby changing station or counter top with enough room to change a diaper. Hire two to three extra people that can be on call for busy holidays. Go over tonight's major fiasco and figure out how to handle them better, Comp a meal. Offer free refills or chips. Offer coupon for 50% of next entree as thanks for patience. Make more eye contact with those waiting for long periods of time. Refill a drink and assure them you are dong your best. You will NEVER please everyone but those little changes could change their negative opinions.

Keep up the good work. We LOVE your restaurant, the homey style of it and friendliness of the staff. The staff treats my family like we are valued and appreciated. I am grateful for that in today's world of retched customer service. Disinterested, inexperienced, belligerent workers making my one night out a month totally unenjoyable.Thank you for serving my family on Valentines Day and making it a night worth remembering - as most screwed up nights are ;)

i grew up in california, so i know authentic mexican. this place is delicious!!! my husband is in love with the carne asada tacos, and i love the camerones ala diabla (warning: this is HOT. i love hot food, and this makes me sweat/cry. recommend zantac prior to consumption).

the lady who always serves us is super nice and very attentive, and always warsn me that what i order is "a little spicy" ;).

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in SLC. They have great food and most of all friendly service...you feel like part of the family. Its a great place to get a quick bite or go with a group for great food and enjoyable night!!

This was my absolute favorite restaraunt I have ever been to! The food is TO DIE FOR!!
Best smothered burritos i have ever eaten, by far!
I would recommend it to everyone!
you will not be disappointed!

I love this Hometown Mexican Resturant!! It's right around the corner and when in the mood for Mexican It's the first one that pops into mind. : )
