We have lived in this area for 27 years and use to love the Green Salmon Coffee Co. Went here today...
We first saw the hand written note on the front door to go around to the back (north side) to enter the store past trash and inside was storage and items to buy but cramped. We ordered 1 coffee and stepped aside to wait. Proceeded to wait 15 min and I asked the person at the counter "Were we forgotten because there have been 4 people behind us that have now been served?" Her reply was "I don't know!" I said well, I DO know and people behind us are gone now. She mumbled something about maybe the machine didn't tell the coffee making guy in the kitchen. I could see the coffee station and no one was working. He came back and finally after another 10 min more we got a mediocre, lukewarm & flavorless coffee. We waited 25 min for this??? My husband told her we won't be coming back after this as the restaurant has really gone down hill and she yelled across the restaurant as we were leaving "Spread the JOY!" What joy? We didn't feel any joy going there and won't be going back. And we had to jokey our car around the 5 giant trash cans lined up outside. DON'T GO THERE!

Quirky and casual vibe, love the mismatched chairs and tables..
I look forward to going there when in town from the south Seattle area!!
Best danishes ever, crispy bottoms with tender flaky top, and lotsa filling!
Stellar hot chocolate and coffee!
