Tried the speedy Gonzales for lunch and was impressed, especially by the refried beans-they might be some of the best I've ever had. The enchilada arrived cold, which was a bummer, but everything else, including the Especial Nayariti and Nachos Fundido, hit the spot with tasty, comforting flavors. Whether dining in a quiet afternoon or grabbing takeout on a cozy night, the food is solid, prices are friendly, and the staff always bring good vibes, making it my go-to for Mexican in Lansing.

I recently tried the Speedy Gonzales for lunch at a new restaurant and found it to be very enjoyable overall, with the exception of a cold enchilada. The refried beans were particularly delicious. Despite being the only customers during the off-peak hours, the service was a bit slow, but the food, like the Especial Nayariti, was flavorful and satisfying.
