The service provided by the gentleman behind the counter was attentive and welcoming. The atmosphere exuded a sense of age and history, perhaps in need of modernization, though my unfamiliarity with the locale may color this perception. The donuts, while not exceptional, appeared to lack the freshness I anticipated, with a notable dryness that left me pondering the frequency of their preparation.
