My heart ached as we arrived at the closed restaurant, hoping for my favorite old school yellow corn crunchy tacos. After my fiancí© spoke with the owner and learned of his wife's passing, my heart went out to their family, reminding me of my own loss last year. Despite the sadness, I bookmarked Carlito's for a future visit, appreciating the simple pleasures in life and the warmth of supporting a small local business.
