We ended up at Gas Lamp Grille in Newport after a long day, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting with friendly service. The fish and chips were perfectly fried but a bit bland, while my husband really enjoyed his chili and burger. They have a great late-night menu with tasty options like pretzel sticks and mac and cheese, making it a solid choice for casual pub food in the area.
