Zero stars, would not recommend it.
My inner Gordon Ramsey is demanding a blood sacrifice.

To be fair, my gut was telling me as soon as we walked in that this place is trying suspiciously hard to promote itself as a Mexican restaurant (or at least what rural Vermonters think one looks like). But our waiter wouldn't shut up about how the owner just got back from Mexico, so we figured I'd give that part of the menu a shot.

Right out the gate, my wife ordered the tamales only to be told they didn't have any because they run out fast (hmm... maybe don't put them in three places on the menu if you can't keep them available). There was something else she asked for instead that they didn't have, I forget what. She ended up ordering the clam strips instead, while I ordered a burrito.

One would think that after ordering the second round of drinks, a solid hour after we sat down, the wait staff would have checked the kitchen for our order. Instead, we had to flag down someone to ask, after seeing two tables and several to-go orders get served first. When we finally got our food (1.5 hours after sitting down), both orders were stone cold! I would have sent it all back if we were not already in a rush to eat due to the delay.

And to make matters worse, they didn't even get my order right at all. Per the menu, the $19 "habanero steak" burrito I ordered was supposed to come with beans, red rice, and guac on the side. It was served with only about a serving spoon's worth of the blandest rice I've ever had. I had to ask for the beans (they at least were okay), which our waiter played off as "it's the least I can do". I didn't remember about the guac until I was about halfway through eating, so I let that go. The "burrito" itself had some non-descript slice of melted cheese on top (I'm fairly sure they served me their enchilada) and NONE of the ingredients except for the steak matched the menu description, most notably not even a hint of habanero; the literal flavor that made me willing to pay double what this meal should have cost. The only flavor it had at all was the Verde salsa, and that was medium at best.

Owner is rude

Weak staff. No knowledge of decent staff knowledge. Food is half assed and delivery takes way to long. Last two times I ordered, the owner had to take time and get my order correct. Pathetic at best!

Horrible customer service! Waited too long for the food and they were rude to us about it. Will never eat there again.

Worst service ever. Food was cold. It took forever. And they over charged us. When, why I asked about pricing. The manager just yelled at me

The 371 is a Pizza/Taco joint. The 371 is an old, beat up, seen better days whole in the wall restaurant. The 371 is the place you will find some of the best food in the Connecticut River Valley. On Fridays their Prime Rib Special is the best meal you will find within a reasonable ride, hands down. Sometimes service is slow, because they are so busy, but worth the wait.

We set out one night to dine at the well known 'Black Rock' in Springfield, only to be disappointed upon arriving there that the place was as always packed and nearly a 45 minute wait. We left in search of another place to dine for the evening only to stumble upon '371' just up the street. Expecting it was now going to turn into a pizza night, we were completely surprised to find they offered 'Special Dinner Entree's' every night and that particular night was prime rib, seafood alfredo and a fish and chips. My fiancé had the prime rib and I had the seafood alfredo...Let me tell you, not only was it cheaper then The Black Rock, but they offer salad, soup and a fresh dinner roll with their Entree's, and it was more then we could have asked for! You will always be needing a take home box from 371.
371 has since become our favorite restaurant to eat out and we have also ordered take out. I have not ever had anything from 371 that I could not rave about absolutely loving...and did I mention there clam chowder is to die for? Family owned and a great family at that. We just love 371 and highly recommend it to anyone.

the food is great there I enjoy the variety, the service is good the price for the amount of food is also good, the only thing that stops it from being excellent is the bathrooms, which I don't eat in so I don't care

We go to 371 often. The food is always excellent. The prime rib they have is the best. The flavor is outstanding. The only bad thing I have to say is sometimes the service is very slow.

I have been going to 371 for the last 7 years and have always enjoyed their food. My favorite is the veal cutlet Parmesan with Ziti meal. Coming from the Boston area I found it very difficult to find good pasta and pizza in the Springfield area.
Some of the other items I enjoy are their waffle fries and onion rings as appetizers. Once in awhile I will order the Burrito on the back of the menu.
I also order their party pizza(great size)it's great when you have company over and want to order take out!
We mostly go there to eat in at the restaurant the atmosphere is a little funky but the staff has been very pleasant and always feel comfortable eating there.
My one criticism is sometimes they can be slow with the food coming out after ordering. But the food itself makes up for the wait!
I recommend going for a great casual dinner with friends or your significant other.
