The Mexican food here is absolutely delicious, especially the Birria tacos with their flavorful consommí© and lime, which quickly became my favorite. The lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and great drink options make every visit enjoyable, whether you're sitting at the bar or in the dining room. Taco Tuesday specials and karaoke nights add extra fun, and the generous portions ensure you leave satisfied without overspending.

The Mexican restaurant has fantastic food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. I recommend trying their specials on Taco Tuesday for a delicious meal and a great time.

The flys in the restaurant makes you feel like your in mexico. The only thing missing are the burros parked outside. The servers are nasty and have no respect for their customers.why go there?

Karaoke Host, "Dave Antonio" notorious for getting into brawls and loud disputes with Hot Tamale Mexican Grill & Bar of Seymour, CT Customers and at other restaurants that he does his silly karaoke shows at. Infamous for pissing off the public, "Dave Antonio" can be accredited for showing net profit losses for Fairfield County Connecticut Restaurants and Bars, that hire him to perform. Here is where Mr. Antonio, makes a mess for himself. Because he lacks honor, he takes guests out of rotation to sing. My customers catch up with Dave Antonio's schemes and question Antonio, at which time Antonio blows up or lies to cover up his deception. "Dave Antonio," also has a checkered work history and can barely hold a job hosting karaoke, because owners that listen to their customers know that Dave Antonio is a Karaoke Host that nobody likes.
Conversely, Hot Tamale Mexican Grill & Bar A+++++ serves excellent food, and their regular Karaoke Host Karen is outstanding, talented and friendly. However, that relief Karaoke DJ, Dave Antonio, has an Anger Management Issue. That's why nobody likes Dave Antonio and he can't hold employment.

I have been to this establishment before and had a not so good experience. Due to this I had not been there in a while but I decided to give it another chance on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Upon entering my friend and I were not greeted or even acknowledged as people went by us. It took a solid 5 minutes for them to acknowledge our presence and seat us. We were then seated in the back of the restaurant away from everyone else where there is limited lighting and it was freezing. From there it took ten minutes for our server to come over and instead of asking if we would like beverages she gave us salsa and chips and briskly left without a word. Just from what has happened thus far we should have left but hey I like to give people a chance. Several minutes later our server returned and asked us what we would like to drink. Since we were afraid she would not be back for some time again we decided to put our orders in at that time as well. Thank goodness we did because we did not receive our food for some time. A few moments later our waitress dropped off our side order of not so fresh guacamole in which we had to send back. Not too long after the same waitress complained about having to serve us right in front of us. Time went by slowly as we waited for our meal in which a gentleman dropped off our one to go meal in which we requested to be made after we had finished our own meal. Mean while our own meals hadn't even shown up yet. We finally receive our meals and there are numerous things missing from the order in which we have to find the waitress in order to correct. My friend had also asked for a refill as the dishes were being put out and once that happened no one came back to check on us. During this time two gentleman had been seated next to us in which the waitress and hostess had both checked on and had neglected us entirely. I can't possibly go over everything that had gone horribly wrong with this experience but the worst part is when I went to the manager at the end of it all he did nothing to address it. I will NEVER step into this facility again. It was absolutely the most horrible customer service I have ever been subjected to.

First time and lastime I'll ever eat in this restaurant, went there for a birthday party,after sitting down we were greeted with a swarm of flies on the Windows and walls were they had set up for the party...the pitchers of margaritas were the worse tasting drinks, have no clue what they used for the margaritas mix...the appetizers were frozen not made fresh just put in the deep fryer,the nachos bland also,a side order of rice and refried beans you couldn't eat ,the refried beans you couldn't eat no taste and lack of bean...looking up at the ceiling tiles you could see water damage because the tiles were never changed.I could imagine how the kitchen looked .They must pay off the health inspectors.Will never come back again..Lou

The service is absolute terrible. My friend and i went to wind down for some happy hour when we were greeted with piss pour service by a women named Diane. We had ordered a series of appetizers in which most were enjoyable. However their signature dish the "hot tamale" was absolutely inedible. We took one bite and could not stomach anymore. When we got our bill we explained to our waitress how displeasing it was and politely asked for it to be taken off the bill considering we did not eat it and she not only laughed in our face but followed it by saying "Well you ordered it! If we took back every meal costumers were unhappy with you wouldn't have to pay for anything." Having been a waitress myself for many years i have never felt so belittled.
