Barbatas was the last of the true Sicilian resturants in L.A. The atmosphere was perfect, from the waterfontain in the main area, to the discoball above the dance floor. We have truely lost one of L.A s cultural icons. With the closing of Barbatas we say farewell to a time when celebrities mingled with us commons. We have also said goodbye to a time when we cared to know eachother and had a venue to suppory the growth of community interaction.
