Stopped at the Somerville Diner yesterday before heading home out of state. I ordered open faced turkey with mashed potatoes and broccoli and my daughter ordered a Belgium waffle with ice cream. She said the waffle was really good and loved it with ice cream. The turkey was fresh and thick carved cut. We both tried the potatoes which were seasoned and didn't even need anything additional. Great even without the gravy or butter. The dinner entire' was a very generous portion and we were very full from the meal. The staff was very kind. We'd stopped there before when traveling and will stop again in the future. Great experience! Such nice people and fantastic service. Perfect place to bring a group late at night when most other things are closed. there is a new owner with vast diner experience - give it a few months it will turn around What a welcoming diner. Not sure where the other reviewers went to, but can't be this diner as the food was great here! Owner & waitresses were so friendly & food tasted good & had huge portions! Will be going back again for sure!
