Vern is such a welcoming presence at Chef's Drive-In, it feels like you're part of the family as soon as you walk in. Whenever I find myself passing through Altavista, a visit to Chef's for their divine cheeseburgers and crinkle fries is a must-do for me. The friendly service, delicious food, and nostalgic atmosphere at Chef's Drive-In make it a gem worth returning to time and again.

A small burger joint with rather good fast food but the service is not the best if you're not a "regular."
