Eating where George Washington once dined adds an incredible historical flavor to the meal, and the colonial comfort food here truly delivers-from the sweet potato muffins to the rich seafood pye filled with lobster, scallops, and shrimp. The tavern's authentic atmosphere, complete with creaky old floorboards and servers in period attire, transports you back in time despite the service being a bit slow and some dishes leaning toward salty or bland. It's definitely an experience worth planning ahead for, especially if you appreciate a unique blend of history and hearty, traditional fare.
