Don't order online and go in here and expect to have that price they will get you for more money then they blame it on Google won't change their website they control their own website don't let them fool you horrible service at the desk no reasoning with these people drive 10 miles and go to Vinny's

My boyfriend and I went in to eat with his son, niece and nephew. The dining room on the left had about six or seven tables with people, so, they sat us in a different room that was empty. The waitress, who was wearing sandals, informed me that her daughter may try to play with our kids. (I hope not, we are here to eat, not play.) A very young girl came in to take our drink order and her and the small child returned carrying our drinks. After about 15 minutes, I went up front to give them the order for all five of us since they seemed to have forgotten about us. Then, about 45 minutes later, two of the kids got their meals. After seven or eight minutes, I went looking for the third kids meal. My food came out a minute or so later, followed by my boyfriend’s, but still no third kid’s meal. That finally came out a few minutes later. As we were taking out the credit card to pay, a young kid in pajama bottoms came in to see if we needed drink refills me the young girl brought us out bread. Im not sure why, the meal was over and we were getting up to leave. I went to the counter to pay and the ticket was there, with what I ordered on it, but no prices, so, the kid with pajamas on, had to ring me out by comparing my ticket, to prices in the menu. We felt bad for the kids there. Maybe it’s family run, but the little girl was all of five or six. The people were nice, the food was decent and the prices were reasonable, but we have no interest in going back, because they literally have children working there. While it’s not their fault, because they are children, they are AWFUL at their job. They are not meant to have business/people skills at that age and it clearly shows that they do not. It was not a great dining experiences, we felt bad and laughed a bit at the craziness on the drive home.

Wow after years of giving them about weekly business we were told "we will not cook for you again, not now, not ever." Why? Because I placed an order and called back to ask that the hamburger that my husband just wanted that day be medium. I was told "our burgers are all well done." I said really? Then they are already cooked. Who wants that? Yuck. No explanation, I don't know if they are but the person gave no comment. I said just cancel the order. They could not have made anything yet it was within minutes. So now we tried to order and got the comment about they won't cook for us. I said fine, everything I had so far tastes like frozen fast food anyway and not homemade to me. I am Italian, maybe I should cook for them, eh? Horrible to do to someone who gave you business. You apologize and fill their order. You know what they can do with their food right?

Posting here a review that YELP never published, because their software judged my review "not recommended", and I'm still wondering why. Same thing happened to a friend. Be aware that their software picks randomly the reviews to publish, while others will never be published. Look at other sites for unbiased reviews.

"I met with my friend Margot at Giovanna's, and I had the best shrimps and clams spaghetti I ever had since moving to Charlottesville from New York. I regret the many times I passed this place by without stopping in."

Their pizza is the closest I have found to the pizza we had in Italy. I drove 20 miles one way to get this pizza. Great prices as well. I have had other food from Giovanna's and it is all great. Highly recommend this restaurant - great staff.
