Good place

My husband and I decided to invite our family to Graves Mountain Lodge for our 64th Anniversiy - neither daughter or son-in-law had ever been. We raved on and on about the wonderful food - big bowls of vegetables, trout, fried chicken and on and on. Our son travelled from Richmond and we travelled from N. Va. - a 2-hr one-way for one and a l-hr. one-way for us. Upon arriving, we were seated at a table on the porch. A lady staying at the lodge was seated w/us.
The food came - bow-tie pasta w/about 2 small shrimp for each, apple sauce, peas, soaked brussel sprouts, rolls, a mostly lettuce salad.and drink - PERIOD. We kept waiting for the real food. Didn't come - that was it. Oh, square cake w/dip of ice cream was the best thing offered. We all left HUNGRY and very disappointed. Also, we had no time to visit w/our family as most talk was about the lady and her hiking, etc.
Son left fof Richmond w/only a hello and goodbye to my husband. Daughter and son-in-law left saying, "Been there, done that and never coming back."
Folks we told said it was a pitiful meal. Costs for it were MUCH too high. Daughter was on South Beach which stresses no carbs and high protein - her plate had 2 shrimp, and 2 bow-tie pastas. NEVER AGAIN!
