Marino's in South Hill, VA is a local favorite for delicious NY-style pizza and subs. The cheese pizza is a standout with a flavorful crust, quality cheese, and just the right amount of sauce. I also recommend trying their steak and cheese sub with extra mushrooms for a satisfying meal.

I have never written a review before and rarely complain...but having such an incredibly bad experience compelled me to take action....so when I got the pizza it was missing two ingredients that I ordered and paid for....It was soggy to the extent that the crust was limp...it had no seasoning ....no taste at all....just plain bad! When I called I happened to get the owner on the phone...when I asked about the missing toppings he said I was mistaken that they were on the pizza...I told him I knew what sausage and GREEN PEPPERS looked like and it didn't have any...he proceeded to let me have it, speaking to me in a hard condescending tone..to the point of threatening me to come down to his restaurant or he'd come to where I was! This was all a first for me...I told him if he was a good business man he would have just apologized and offer to make it right or perhaps give me a discount or something on some other food...ANYTHING!!!! I actually was going to order a sub and or a salad (And pay for it) because I was and am still hungry! I have never asked for anything free....ever....its not in my nature...he implied that I was trying to get something for free......And for some strange reason he asked me if I had money? I told him yes and why? he didn't respond...Enough said...The worst experience I've ever had regarding a restaurant...and from an owner!!!!Signed, Still Hungry...
