Timbuktu was a beloved local spot for dining by the Ocean Front of Virginia Beach, but unfortunately, it has been closed for several years now. The owner and chef, known for his delicious pan-fried crab cakes and the inviting atmosphere with live music, seemed to have disappeared when the hotel ownership changed years ago. It's a mystery where he went, but the memories of enjoying a wonderful meal and a great time at Timbuktu remain vivid in my mind.
