The soft shell crab sandwich, fried chicken, fried oysters, and club or BLT sandwiches are some of the best dishes here, made from scratch with local seafood and seasonal produce. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, with attentive service that gives off a true local vibe, though the interior could use some updating. This family-owned restaurant has been a longtime staple in the community, offering reasonably priced, reliable home-cooked meals that keep me coming back.

I really enjoy the soft shell crab sandwich, fried chicken, and club sandwich at Virginia Street Cafe - they hit the spot. Hope they can keep going strong through these tough times. Wouldn't mind seeing a little sprucing up inside, but that fried soft shell crab sandwich was on point when I had it during peak season.
