I happen to have first-hand knowledge that the kitchen at Wendt's is filthy and the cooks do not use gloves or work in a clean environment. I would not eat there ever, and I advise you don't either.

On Saturday Sept 1st we met some friends at Wendts around 4 pm almost every seat at the bar was taken, but there were only about 5 tables taken. My husband walked out after waiting 10 minutes to get waited on at the bar. I joined our friends in the back. The waitress came back and took drink orders. 20 minutes later she came back to take our food orders without our drinks. After about 20 more minutes the first food order came out (a pork sandwich) after our friend ate, paid and left our friends 2 hamburgers came out. 10 minutes later my order came out. As we finished eating another friends order came out (He ordered his hamburger rare it should have been first) I paid and left because we had friends from out of town waiting at the House of Harley next door. One hour later the rest of our group arrived. The restaurant was NOT busy and yes we read the menu that the wait would be worth it but come on Hours To Get Hamburgers in an uncrowded restaurant!
