Good food. Will sometimes do substitutions. Original owners had sold for a while, and we stopped going, but they came back and so did we. This is the only place we get teriyaki.

Customer Beware:

Customer service horrible (employee yells at customers and does not respect them)
Orders are incorrect due to language barrier by gentleman handing take out
Food is over priced

I will first say that normally I would give "Asian Palette" (just "Bento" to those of us in the know) a solid 4 stars but due to a few of the completely ignorant and/or stupid reviews I've bumped it up to 5...This is one of the best places for teriyaki around period. I have had some better teriyaki, I am not saying this is straight from heaven or anything but overall the quality is very good and the portions are VERY fair for the price. I can easily order the fried rice and have enough for lunch and left overs for dinner in the evening. Hey there's a bright idea for those complaining about smaller portions, how about you save your leftovers and eat them later or share with someone? I hate when people complain about too much food because too many places skimp on that already and rip you off on portion size. Just because they don't have "your idea" of a perfectly ideal sized meal for one tiny little 90 lb nagging customer doesn't warrant a 1 star review. It's also evident in Erica's review that she was simply angry they wouldn't cater to her mini meal request (entitled?) so she made up a bunch of other little things to try to make her review more legit. Their lunch specials are meant to be a meal, not a snack, and they are a great size for that. The meat is ALWAYS very good quality cuts and always lean. The one exception is the pork, it's a little fatty (because it's supposed to be). If you don't like fat you shouldn't order pork. That's like saying you want non-fat bacon. The food is never under cooked, always comes out hot, and the lettuce is never brown or wilting like at other locations in the area. This is also one of the cleanest and well-kept "teriyaki joints" I've been to which deserves some recognition. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't make or break a place. There are quite a few "hole in the wall" places that look like they've never seen a mop/broom but have AHHMAYZING food. This place just has cleanliness as a nice addition to the good food they consistently serve.Overall "Bento" is a solid lunch stop in an area with a lot to choose from. That's probably why it is ALWAYS Packed at lunch. If this was a 1 star type place then I'd actually be able to find a seat at lunch time. So those people bashing this place are definitely the minority. People really should learn how to review things, not every place is either a 1 star or a 5 star. Be subjective. Most restaurants aren't going to be perfect, but some of you have personal issues and go way over the top on stuff, and some of you are just tools and think you're the most important person on the planet, and get so offended at the slightest suggestion that you're not. Get over yourself, please...

I am still quite shocked at the response i received from the owners of this restaurant today. I stop by here at least 2 times a month on my way to Sam's Club and have done so for about 2 years. My son and i stopped in today for some spicy chicken. We paid and received our order promptly. After the first bite we both noticed that it had a very strong over the top sweet taste. Kind of like taking a bite of pure brown sugar.

We called the lady over to tell her that there was something wrong with the spicy chicken and immediately an older lady came to the table too and started yelling and arguing with us that we were wrong and that there was nothing wrong with the food. I smiled and told her i had to disagree, that i have eaten spicy chicken for years and there was definitely a problem with this one. She told me no, nothing wrong and stormed off. We sat their stunned for a minute and tried again to eat the food. I just could not eat it; it was awful. I was embarrassed to make a scene but annoyed that we just paid good money for food we could not eat. I walked to the counter and told the lady behind it we were leaving and would not return because i expected them to make it right and they didn't.

Again the older lady shows up and this time she is accompanied by her husband. They both start yelling at me, saying things like i am in their all the time complaining about the food. The man was yelling and screaming at me and being very abusive.

This is the first time i have ever complained about the food at this restaurant and i am completely shocked at the treatment i received. Well they can keep my $22.50 but i will never be back. These people have lost a good customer.

If you go here- you had better like the food and don't dare to complain if you don't.
